About Linguistic Insights

We help organisations listen to feedback, learn from evidence, and act with confidence.

Linguistic Insights is a research and consultancy service supporting organisations to make meaningful use of survey and feedback data. We specialise in survey design, large-scale qualitative analysis, and evaluation, helping organisations turn open-ended responses into clear, actionable insight.


Founded by Dr Maria Fotiadou, a researcher and evaluator with a PhD in Linguistics, Linguistic Insights combines analytical rigour with practical, real-world application. Maria has led and contributed to research and evaluation projects across the UK’s public and third sectors, including work on social inclusion programmes and national initiatives.


The work focuses on analysing how people express experiences, concerns, and priorities in feedback data, using systematic approaches that work across large qualitative and mixed datasets. This allows organisations to move beyond surface summaries or illustrative quotes and generate evidence that can be used with confidence.


Support is provided for both newly collected and existing data, with services tailored to organisational context, decision-making needs, and reporting requirements. The aim is always the same: to help organisations understand their data, learn from it, and use it to inform strategy and improvement.


Whether working with public bodies, research teams, third-sector organisations, or consultancies, Linguistic Insights supports organisations to listen carefully, learn systematically, and take informed action.
